Bobby Vakili – President
After graduating from law school, Mr. Vakili completed a brief stint at 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles working in the Business and Legal Affairs department. Although this experience was very rewarding it left Mr. Vakili unfulfilled professionally. As a result, Mr. Vakili soon thereafter returned to his true passion of defending the rights of marginalized citizens and articled at a prominent Toronto Criminal Defence Firm. After articling, Mr. Vakili decided to start his own practice in order to focus on representing the underrepresented Iranian community. Mr. Vakili is the founder of Vakili Law Group, Professional Corporation and his practice is focused on criminal defence and personal injury law. Mr. Vakili routinely appears at all levels of court in Ontario including the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. Mr. Vakili's dedication and compassion for his clients have enabled him to establish himself as one of the highly sought after Toronto criminal lawyers in the greater Toronto area.

Reza Barari – Treasurer/Membership Officer
Reza Barari completed a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) with First Class Honours standing from Swansea University in the United Kingdom. Prior to his legal studies, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science at York University, whereby he was on the Dean's Honour Role consecutively in his final years. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Mr. Barari has been actively involved in numerous non-profit organizations. Currently, Mr. Barari is employed at a law firm where he is responsible for conducting extensive legal research in Corporate, Tax, Family, Civil Litigation, and Intellectual Property Matters. He has received high commendation from his peers for his ability to obtain cost-effective resolutions in Civil Litigation and Family Law matters. Mr. Barari's passion for civil rights and the social welfare of others drives him to work towards strengthening the infrastructure and the network within the Iranian legal community.
Anahita Tajadod – Secretary/Director of Communications
Anahita received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from York University and her Juris Doctor (J. D.) from Osgoode Hall Law School. She is currently working as an articling student at a multi-practice law firm. While in law school, she was a staff writer for Osgoode's student-run newspaper, Obiter Dicta, and worked for the Community and Legal Aid Services Program. She also cofounded and was the co-president of the Iranian Law Students Association (ILSA) at Osgoode. Anahita has travelled extensively in Europe and the Middle East. She is fluent in English, Farsi and Romanian and has basic knowledge of French. In her free time, Anahita enjoys meditation, yoga, and skiing.

Firoozeh Rose Bahrami – Member at Large
Firoozeh Rose Bahrami is the founder of Bahrami Law Office. As a qualified Canadian lawyer, she provides clients with knowledgeable and efficient legal advice on a variety of issues. Her main practice areas are Immigration, real estate, and business law. In addition to her legal work, she is currently the president of the Iranian Canadian Lawyers Association and has professional affiliation with many professional and community organizations. She has also written articles and appeared on TV discussing legal issues. Ms. Bahrami obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.SC.) in Biology and Professional Writing from the University of Toronto and a bachelor of laws (LL.B.) from the University of Ottawa. Negar Achtari - Member at Large
Negar Achtari is a sole practitioner and practices law in Ottawa, Ontario. Her practice is restricted to American and Canadian immigration law. She provides legal services in English, French and Persian. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Canada chapter (AILA) and a former member of the County of Carlton Law Association (CCLA). Called to the NY bar in 1998 and to the Ontario bar in 2003, she received her law degree (Licence en droit Français) from Université de Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1995. In 1996, she graduated from Widener University (Delaware, USA) with a Masters degree (LL.M.) in Corporate law and finance. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 2002. She was admitted to practice before the Eastern and Southern District Court of New York in 2000.
Negar assists her clients with a variety of immigration matters. She prepares submissions and presents applications on behalf of her clients to Canadian and US visa posts, Canada-US land borders under the NAFTA treaty, US service centers and Canadian processing centers. She appears before the Federal court of Canada; Immigration and Refugee Board, as well as other Canadian and US immigration authorities. Negar has been interviewed by CBC radio Canada and is a regular guest speaker on Chin Radio's Hamseda program. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Iranian Canadian Lawyers Association (ICLA), an advocacy group in Toronto.
